"The primary objective of this Landscape Photography Competition is to promote tourism by showcasing the hidden natural beauty of rural landscapes and digitally documenting Satara’s rich natural heritage. This initiative provides a commercial platform for local artists, fostering a commitment to nature conservation. Our long-term vision is to establish a sustainable source of royalty and income for photographers by enhancing the commercial value of their work.

This competition is open to hobby and professional photographer

The photographs should be taken within the geographical boundaries of Satara district, with a focus on rural landscapes in particular.

Contest Highlights

Considering the attractive points in the competition, royalty income is the most attractive option. Its special feature is that this option is open to all competitors.

Professional Photographers (DSLR User) Entry Fee: 200/-
Hobby Photographers (Mobile User) Entry Fee: 50/- 


Technical Specifications

Photography Related

Mobile Photo: Photos should be in JPEG/JPG format and  It should not have large watermarks.
DSLR Photos: Photos should be in JPEG + RAW file submitted and There should be no large watermarks on them.
Resolution: Minimum 300 DPI to ensure high-quality printing for future exhibitions and frames.
Dimensions: The long side of the image should be at least 3000 pixels.
Aspect Ratio: Standard 3:2 or 16:9 is expected for landscape orientation.
Camera Model: Provide information about your camera model and lens.
Editing: Basic color correction and cropping are permitted. However, excessive manipulation or AI-generated elements will lead to disqualification.

Location of Photography

The photos you are going to submit must be from the route and area given to you in Satara district. Also, these photos must be from January 2026 to February 2026.

Theme: Nature, mountains, and rural landscapes of Satara district.

Golden Hour Landscapes:
Nature in the early morning sun or the setting sun.

Arid Beauty:
Dry lands, deciduous trees, and the rugged beauty of summer.

The Play of Shadows:
Shadows and nature in the hot afternoon sun.

Special Category Awards

'People's Choice' Award: This award will be given to the photo that receives the most likes on social media.

Young Photographer Award: For the best contestant under the age of 18.


For All Participants

Digital Certificate (E-Certificate): To be given as an incentive to all participants.

Social Media Feature: Promote the best photos with credit on your page or website.
